It is hard to believe that you plan and plan for five months and then before you know it you are a married person! How wonderful the wedding was. We both want to thank everyone who has been supporting us and praying for us. This time has been so special. Please keep in touch with us!

So, it’s been over a year since Grace and I were sitting in a Starbucks parking lot and I told her I wanted to be in a relationship with her with the intentions of marriage (romantic I know) . Last Sunday, I blocked off the whole day and planned every minute for her. It was an absolute blast… I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my soon-to-be bride! Here are some pics below!
This day was to0 perfect for me not to elaborate on Greg’s above mention of our special day. It started by Greg bringing me flowers and taking me to breakfast. Next we went on a wonderful winter hike and stopped at a flea market (which deserves its own post!) Next he gave me a present (which was a dress to wear to dinner!!) and dropped me off to shower before dinner. When he picked me up he surprised me with a dozen roses, dinner at the Melting Pot and a movie. Wow, I am marrying one amazing man!!!
I can’t thank my wonderful Owensboro family enough for the most beautiful wedding shower that I have ever seen. Aunt Adelyn, Aunt Sharon, and Aunt Shelia out did themsevles once again! The food was delicious (of course!!) and the decorations and details were perfect. Greg and I are so blessed by the love that you all have shown to us! Thank you everyone for showering us with gifts to help us start our new life together. We could not do it with out your love and support. Thank you thank you thank you!!
For anyone who is making a weekend out of the wedding I wanted to let you know that Keenland will be in season! For those of you who have not ever been it is a wonderful taste of Kentucky and horse country! Especially for our Tennessee friends! There are also so many other things to do! Wilmore is charming with lots of farms, little bed and breakfasts and antique shops. And Lexington has lots of fun places to eat and shop. We want everyone to enjoy their time here, so let us know if we can help!
We know that nearly everyone is coming to our wedding from out of town! We tried to schedule the time of the wedding in such a way that our out of town guests can drive here and home in the same day. But for those of you who are choosing to stay the night we want to help! Please let us know if there is anything that we can do!
Wilmore is about 2o minutes south of Lexington. Any hotel in Lexington would not be far, but there is also a hotel on Asbury Seminary’s campus called Asbury Inn. Here is the website if anyone is interested!

For my birthday this year, Greg took me to see an Over the Rhine concert in Cincinnati at the Taft theatre. For any of your who are not familiar with Over the Rhine, I highly suggest that you check them out. This band will fit most taste for most ages. Over the Rhine has been one of our favorite groups for some time so it was really special to see them live. Man do they put on a good show!
The date that we went on was wonderful. We went on December 20th so the hustle and bustle of Christmas mixed with big city lights and cold snowy air made for a very romantic night. We ate at Rock Bottom Brewery which is in the heart of downtown looking right over the huge Christmas tree and outdoor ice skating rink. The restaurant is local I believe and worth checking out if you are ever in Cincy! Walking down the cold busy streets, surrounded by Christmas lights, holding a Starbucks in one hand, and my sweeties in another made for a very wonderful birthday. Thank you Greg!
So… as of last week our honeymoon is now booked. We are going to none other than the Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and we are going to have a blast! Click here to check out the website… otherwise, enjoy some pics below!
